Eating The Alphabet

You often hear the phrase "eat your colours" but
maybe you don't always hear the phrase "eat the alphabet".

If you watch Kids CBC mornings at all, you may have seen Kathleen Edwards perform
her song of the same name.

What I love about this concept, more-so than 'eat your colours', is that it opens up doors to new foods and food combinations that go beyond just colour.
Eating a variety of colours is still important though, as each food colour has a different make-up of vitamins and health benefits, just you may not discover things like quince or upma by just sticking to the more well-known colourful foods!

Here's what we're going to do:
I've made an alphabet list and asked Toby to name as many food as he could that start with that letter, with a bit of help from me when it comes to 'those tricky letters'.
Every week (maybe twice a week?) we're going to make a meal centred around a letter and share it on here!
It may not all be done in alphabetical order, due to seasonal foods and being able to find all the ingredients at one time, but we'll do our best!
You can do it with us, or try out the things we post!

Happy Eating!
